Description
English: Villages in the west part of Hullathy Gram Panchayat, view to the SW from below Melur. A steep valley in the north face of the Nilgiri Mountains, being in the rain shadow it gets low rainfall. Villagers have created a vibrant agrarian economy, largely vegetables and tea, using terraces and irrigation. Villages visible: Alagarmalai, Sholada, Mel Kalhatty, Kil Kalhatty, Bikkaty, Akoni, Thattaneri, Karapillu. Udhagai taluk, The Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu, India.
