Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.
Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Hi, it is unfortunate that the DR was closed just a couple of hours after I created it. To answer your question. BF is a distribution company, they don't produce films, so they are not the copyright holders regardless if they were produced in the U.S. Peru, France or India. Their business is selling movies to cinemas, TV stations and streaming services in some countries in Latin America. In Commons:Deletion requests/File:Dan Da Dan - Trailer Oficial.webm you mention a couple of movies: Mi mejor enemiga [1] was produced by AV Films; El corazón del lobo [2] was produced by Tinta Roja and La Soga Producciones; Papá x 2 [3] was produced by FAM Contenidos, Haven Entertainment, and Malule Production. Yes, I know. That's why I've created the "Several Chinese pictures" section. Files uploaded by Lee Shiau-Shiuan is a slighty different case and that's why I created a new section, but I'll try to regroup. Thanks for the message. TaronjaSatsuma (talk) 12:33, 12 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

You're welcome. Now I've grouped each of the files according the different rationales (all are under 1928/1944 law, but a painting is not the same as a film, and not the same as a picture).
